If you want help with casting, tackle choice, boat handling or would like my company as a guide on a fishing outing, I will be pleased to help. Like most anglers I’m generous with my free advice, but formal tuition and help is charged by the hour, day or part day to suit your needs. Alternatively you may wish to book a Beginners Day, Improvers Day or an Advanced Casting Course.
The cost for what you want will be discussed when we talk about how I can help you.
You may know nothing about fly fishing and just want to try it , to learn how to cast and get started. I will supply all necessary tackle for the lesson and give help and advice on what tackle to buy if required.
If you are inexperienced in boat fishing you may wish to discuss starting and handling the boat, use of the drogue to slow the drift and general boat fishing techniques.
You may be an experienced caster but want to improve e.g. achieve those few extra yards by double and single hauling, penetrate a strong wind or a wind from the “wrong” direction or cast a team of flies without tangles.
On rivers, you may want help with your slack line casting, spey casting and snake roll. You may want to be able to place a fly under overhanging branches or place a curved cast around a bush. I can show you the correct techniques for all aspects of casting on still and running water and give you a thorough understanding of how they work so that, with practice, we solve your difficulties.
It’s all very friendly and I will always try to clarify exactly what you’re trying to achieve so I can plan how to deliver the right information and coaching.
I believe you should get value for money and that you should enjoy yourself at the same time.
