In recent years fly fishing for pike has grown in popularity across the country as anglers have realised the size of pike that can be caught and the great sport they provide.

Both Rutland Water and Pitsford are testing places to fly fish and, for the newcomer, catching pike on the fly in waters of this size requires help.

Nigel has a real passion for pike fishing with a fly and is one of the country’s most knowledgeable pike anglers. He knows both waters like the back of his hand.

A day out with Nigel will be really special but is not for the novice. Flies are large and therefore difficult to cast, so instruction is aimed at the competent caster and angler looking for an exciting change.
